Questions institutes ask us
Do I need a special OMR scanner?
No. Any document scanner works; 200–300 dpi greyscale is best. ADF scanners let you load a whole stack. Phone scanner apps also work for small batches.
Can I use the OMR sheets I already have?
ScanFix reads its own sheet designs, which you print on plain A4 paper. If you have a large stock of pre-printed sheets, send us a sample and we will tell you what is possible.
How accurate is it?
Every bubble is measured after the page is straightened, and double marks, faint marks and missing roll numbers are flagged for review instead of being guessed. You see the scan with the detected marks before results go out.
Does it need the internet?
Checking sheets works offline. Internet is used only to activate the licence, receive renewals and updates, and contact support. PCs without internet can be activated with an offline key.
What happens when the exam pattern changes?
On the Professional plan you can add a new pattern yourself by listing its sections. We also add new official patterns as updates.
Can I move the licence to a new computer?
Yes. Click "Move to another PC" in the app, then activate on the new computer with the same serial.
